Well after what seemed like eternity, success at
last...the water pump has been extracted!! “Dr Lee” your diagnosis
was accurate...it definitely needs replaced. The lower radiator hose connection
had a large piece missing....and the seal around the shaft was
broken...that’s why water poured on my foot as fast as I was pouring
it in the radiator!!! I
couldn't figure out why so much water was leaking at first....now I know.
I have no pics of the water pump being
replaced....Diane and I volunteer our time for another good cause, local
pageants leading up to the Miss Oklahoma Pageant and the Miss Oklahoma
preliminary nights leading up to the crowning of a new Miss Oklahoma was
being held in Tulsa each night...a 2 hour drive from Edmond and we went there Wednesday,
Thursday, Friday nights and the final night on Saturday...we didn't get
home before midnight each night. BUT Thursday I was pumped (no pun
intended) and wanted to get that water pump in before Friday because I knew
we had other commitments and I wanted to see if the minor surgery would do
the trick. SO Thursday night
about 1:00 a.m. I started to put the water pump back on...I
figured at worst it should only take about 1 hour..
Well....at around 3:30 to 4:00 I finally got the water
pump back together and (ugh oh....Cliff I forgot to put the air compressor
back on...oh well you always have extra parts when you put things back
together...right?? they plan it that way correct??? extra bolts here a
couple nuts there,) anyway my photographer was sound a sleep!! can you
believe that you just can't get good help these days....no commitment...so
no picture of the successful surgery or what I thought was a successful surgery...its
always that darn day after stuff that throws a kink in the best of
operations...I guess that’s why the doctor always makes rounds the
next day to check the patients condition...
